Ferrol to Neda

- The main identity feature of this short initial stage is water. For the vast majority of the route, you will walk with the Ferrol estuary on your right.
- A pleasant coastal walk to observe the tides and the contrast of port activity.
- Don't forget to try Neda's famous traditional bread upon arrival.

Neda to Pontedeume

Night in Pontedeume
- The route progressively leaves the coast to delve into rural Galician landscapes.
- After passing through Fene, the path rewards you with a spectacular panoramic view of the Ares estuary.
- The grand finale of the day is crossing the massive medieval bridge over the Eume River that welcomes you to Pontedeume.

Pontedeume to Betanzos

- Make sure to turn around at the Aresito viewpoint to admire the views of the Eume valley.
- The mandatory reward upon finishing in Betanzos is trying its world-famous Tortilla de Betanzos (an extremely juicy Spanish omelet, made with local crispy potatoes and no onion).

- Goal in sight! You will enter Santiago through the northern industrial area.
- Emotion builds up exponentially as your feet touch the granite flagstones of Plaza del Obradoiro right in front of the Cathedral.
- Have a relaxed breakfast, attend the pilgrim mass if it fits your schedule.
- Head to the Pilgrim's Welcome Office to collect your Compostela certificate by presenting your two daily stamps.
