Suggested Itinerary
The route officially begins by crossing the International Bridge from the border or directly from the historic center of Tui. From there, it heads north, passing through iconic towns such as O Porriño, Redondela (where it merges with the Coastal Route), the historic town of Pontevedra, the thermal waters of Caldas de Reis, and Padrón, before tackling the final stretch to Santiago de Compostela.
Who It Is For
Recommended for walkers looking for the essence of the Camino in its final 100 kilometers (the minimum required to earn the Compostela certificate on foot) who prefer a gradual approach without major steep climbs. Although it is not a technical route, you should be prepared for daily walks of between 15 and 22 kilometers.
It also works beautifully for groups or individuals wanting an experience with a touch of comfort without losing authenticity: charming accommodations, dinners featuring local produce, and manageable stages that leave plenty of free time to discover each town’s heritage after the walk.
